Porsche 993 GT2: A Childhood Dream in Digital Form
Let’s rewind to my childhood. There was a car that captured my imagination like nothing else: the Porsche 993 GT2. Back then, it was all about the posters on the wall and the dream of someday being behind the wheel. Today, I’m not just admiring it—I’m recreating it in stunning detail for sim racers around the world.
The Porsche 993 GT2 is not just any car
It’s a masterpiece of engineering, a legend in motorsport, and an icon for petrolheads everywhere. That’s why when I decided to recreate this car, I didn’t want to do a half-baked job. I dove into old data sheets, historical references, and every bit of material I could get my hands on to make sure this recreation was as precise as possible. Every curve, every roar of the engine, and every little quirk that made the original GT2 a beast—it will be all there.

I’m excited to say it’ll soon be available on rFactor 2. It’s been a labor of love, and what keeps me motivated are the thousands of sim racers eagerly waiting to take this car for a virtual spin. The Porsche 993 GT2 is a challenging car, one that requires skill, finesse, and a good amount of courage—and I wanted to make sure that spirit carried through to the digital version.
Creating cars for sim racing isn’t just about pretty models. It’s about the physics, the feel, the experience. My goal was simple: to honor a childhood dream and give the sim racing community something they would love as much as I did—and still do.
With nearly 25,000 subscribers and countless “thank you” messages from the sim community on my Cayman GT4 project, I feel grateful and inspired to continue pushing my skills. This journey isn’t just about creating cars; it’s about evolving as an artist and contributing to a community that has given me so much. So here’s to the Porsche 993 GT2—may it bring you as much joy on the virtual track as it brought me as a kid staring at that poster. Just for the love of this masterpiece in engineering.
The sound, the power, flames and burned rubber smell.
